WELCOME TO UNIVERSAL APPLIANCE AND KITCHEN CENTER

It’s more than just the price.  It’s about the people.  The knowledge. The follow up.  It’s about creating an IMMERSIVE experience like no other.

In today's busy market, buying appliances like fridges and stoves is pretty straightforward. Most big stores sell them at similar prices because they have to follow the price rules set by the makers of these appliances. This means you'll often see stores claiming they have the best prices. But, what makes a store stand out isn't just how cheap their appliances are. It's also about having a good variety of products, making shopping a pleasant experience, installing your appliances well, and providing great service after you buy.

Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center stands out in Southern California. It's not just a place to buy appliances. Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center has a huge selection of brands and focus on making shopping fun and easy. Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center and El Segundo, CA

El Segundo, a city within Los Angeles County in California, USA, sits along the Santa Monica Bay. It was officially established on January 18, 1917, and is a member of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments.

As of the 2020 census, its population reached 16,731, marking a slight increase from 16,654 in 2010.

The region, including the El Segundo and Los Angeles coastal areas, was historically inhabited by the Tongva (or Gabrieleños) Native American tribes for many years. This area was once part of Rancho Sausal Redondo ("Round Willow Patch Ranch"), stretching from Playa Del Rey to Redondo Beach. Originally a Mexican land grant belonging to Antonio Ygnacio Avila, it was later acquired by Scottish baronet Sir Robert Burnett. Following Burnett's return to Scotland, Daniel Freeman, the rancho's manager, purchased the land. He then sold parts of the rancho to various individuals. George H. Peck, who owned the land where the Chevron Refinery is now located, also developed nearby El Porto, with a street there named after him. The city's name, which means "the second" in Spanish, was chosen because it was the location of the second Standard Oil refinery on the West Coast (following the first in Richmond, Northern California). Standard Oil of California bought the farmland in 1911.

El Segundo is bordered by Los Angeles International Airport and Manhattan Beach to the north and south respectively, with the Pacific Ocean to the west. Aviation Blvd roughly demarcates its eastern edge.

The city, according to the United States Census Bureau, covers a total area of 5.5 square miles (14 km2), with over 99% being land.

El Segundo's name came about in 1911 when Chevron established its second refinery there, "El Segundo" translating to "the Second". This refinery processes crude oil from South America's Amazon region, averaging over 5,000 barrels per day. The city is adjacent to the Hyperion sewage treatment plant and the El Segundo power plant, operated by American energy company NRG. NRG had plans to create a new combined cycle power island for powering 240,000 homes, intended to start in 2013. It was to use a Siemens gas turbine and an additional steam turbine. Unocal, before its dissolution, was based in El Segundo.

The city boasts its own beach, alongside two public outdoor pools, one of which is seasonal. El Segundo's Parks and Recreation staff inspired the popular NBC show Parks and Recreation. The city also has two full-sized turf fields, Campus El Segundo Athletic Fields, available for public use.

El Segundo's latest Comprehensive Annual Financial Report indicated $99.0 million in revenue, $91.0 million in expenditures, total assets of $206.5 million, total liabilities of $33.6 million, and cash and investments totaling $50.4 million.
